1:37 pm - Melodramatic Mediocrity
|
Sometimes I think my family is pretty normal. I have a spouse, kids, mortgage, job- well, I used to have a job, but being unemployed isn't that unusual these days.
Sometimes I think my family is insane. My sister's ex-husband, who happens to be my husband's best friend, is living with us, but I won't say where because the City would not approve. My other sister, last I heard, is getting FEMA money by posing as a Katrina victim. I used to tease my husband about having a sibling who was wanted by the Feds. Ha ha ha.
My normal family- * I'm not sure how to describe my husband, so I won't, except to say that if he were your everyday joe, I wouldn't have married him. * My kids are being raised by two overeducated, underemployed, writer-types. I'm sure the public school system will tell us just how weird they are. * My mortgage is lovely, but will be hard to pay without * My job.
Here's to 2006! Whatever it brings, it can't be a rerun.
